Artists Description
Done from a series of sketches I made in the mid 90s of the rolling fields on the eastern side of Doolin. I started work on this painting in 1996 and chipped away at it for years, stopping, sometimes for months on end, to stare at it propped up against my studio wall. Then starting again and working quickly for a few days. Then stopping. It was finally finished in 2005 - framed, then sold in a week or so.
