Experiemental Portraits and Landscapes
The course is an ongoing exploration into Experimental Landscapes and Portraits using a variety of exciting mark-making techniques, including mono-printing, mixed-media and expressive ink drawing. The emphasis is on playful experimentation and unexpected outcomes. Each student is introduced to a variety of techniques and encouraged to develop their individual creative style. Some students use the course short term, as a means to refresh ideas. Others have been coming for years and use the space and time to develop their skills further, create their own visual language and produce a wide range of exciting pieces. The possibilities are endless and the results are very exciting indeed.

Arts residency
We are pleased to adapt our services to accommodate the requirements of our guests – with respect to the level of independence they want to enjoy – or offer a time-tabled teaching course. We offered the residency here because many professional artists simply want the facilities on hand, and enjoy the company with shared interests – the food and wine as well as the art! At the other extreme, a novice may be intimidated by a large group of art students, and the more intimate surroundings here, with no more than three guests in house, gives them a high level of personal support and encouragement.
We offer a shared studio, large workshop, print room (Epson 9800), gallery, photographic and computer facilities (full Photoshop Creative Suite).
